Christmas cards are fun!!

Hi again, I love making Christmas cards, here is another using Stampotique stamps
Angel Boy is a favourite stamp, my sentiment is using the  Alphabet Lower at Stampotique.
I stamped in glue and then added gilding flakes, it shimmers in the light but capturing the detail is hard this time of year, oh for the heady (light) days of summer 😎
Thanks for stopping by, Hugs Gay xx

O Joy ( with a mischievous grin!) is putting up the Mini Christmas Ornaments, I have glittered and shined them , all rather posh!!! LOL He has fluffy stuff trimming his hat, boots and jumper too.

Naughty or Nice?

Hello there,
Well I decided on naughty 😲 of course!!
Stampotique this week wants to see your naughty or nice creations
here is mine
My snow background is masking and then direct to card with Brilliance, moonlight white, looks quite ghostly, what d'ya think?  I wanted a star in the sky so I masked off the stringed lights and stamped just one

fiddly but it worked, glue not dry so it's a little raised in the pic below, impatient me!
so Daniel's Tree topper is stamped onto velum if you look closely you can see in the right light he has a snowman on his armpit and half his face  LOL😄

I used
Froggie
Daniel's Tree Topper
Mini Christmas Ornaments Cube
Stringed Lights
Jingle your own damn bells
We have finished our traveling for this year, had a superb time and found it difficult to come home, all that responsibility and cold here, brrrr. Sorry to have been off the radar for so long. I find none of the apps designed to work with Blogger work very well for me so I use FaceBook when away, luckily lots of you lovely bloggers are there with me 😊
Wishing you all well and luck with your Christmas preparations ( if you have any :D )
Thank you for joining me, be back soon Hugs Gay x

Text behind?

Hello again, I am here to share a card for Stampotique,Designers Challenge
We have a new challenge and the theme is Text Background
Use a book, stamp, journal, dictionary, newspaper, letter or anything with text. Let's see text in your backgrounds this week.
I just love this little guy Schmurfy and he is up to Shenanigans which is on  France's Barcode Text2  and behind them is Romantic Text also by France Papillon. The stamp was inked very selectively to give a muted appearance. I used a mask for the circles, soft inking with distress ink!! Now, why not join us? You can use any stamps except digital and there is the chance that you could win a $30 voucher for stamps :D
Thank you for stopping by :D Hugs Gay xx

Darnell's visit

Hello my lovely bloggy friends, Just thought I would share a few memories of my days meeting with Darnell,  her lovely blog is djkardkreations
We have been bloggy friends since January 2012, and sharing the fun ever since!!! :D
I made my way to London on the train and underground to Darnell's hotel arriving about lunch time, well you can guess our first port of call was lunch a very quick  but tasty roll on Victoria station LOL not the most salubrious destination but a filling snack none the less. We had decided that the way to get an overall flavour of London ( with only 2 days) would be on an open topped bus, so off we trotted and jumped on the bus. The weather on her trip so far had been anything but British and really rather sunny, lucky lady BUT this is London for goodness sake, yes! You guessed it, it started to drizzle

I think Darnell wears her brolly really well, it was a little chilly and blowing a gale too Brrrr!  But just look at that smile, what a sunny lady :D We stayed on the bus for most of the afternoon, checking out the sights and deciding what to see the next day. On for a fish and chip supper at the pub, that was delicious. I left her at the hotel and made my way home, tired but happy!!
Next day I was back up on the train and we went off to Oxford Street for a little essential shopping and lunch in an ASK restaurant, Yummy Italian food!!! Then back to the hotel to catch our breath and out again this time to visit Buckingham Palace and St James' park
drier by now we wandered off to see the ducks around the pond and off to Trafalgar Square to check out the fountains. We finished it all off in the evening with a trip to the theatre and a show 'Wicked' how lucky were we?????
Fabulous time and a fabulous lady, thank you Darnell I loved it all :D xxx
p.s When are you coming back??? :D x

We've gone all beachy

Hello and welcome, the challenge at Stampotique this week is a theme,
The Beach is always such a relaxing place to be whether it's sun or just fun in the sand and surf, let's just see your best beach themed projects this week
I made two cards this time
Mela loves her new hat it keeps the sun out of her eyes
This card below is done on Yupo paper, a great base for alcohol inks, they move over the surface in a very interesting manner. So for my beach and the sea, floating the ink over the paper with cut and dry sponge worked well, leaving a shiny sea. These two are fighting over the towel
Stamps I used
Mela
Underwhere
Hat Cube
Now I would love to see what you can come up with, good luck and have fun

We're still partying

Hi folks, Over at the Stampotique blog there is still a party going on and I made another card,
I added a few more heads, stamped onto paper, as a bunchof balloons I think it balances the group better,

This time Twinkie has a change of head, the balloon heads are pretty suspicious and wonder what is going on, check out their eyes, LOL they don't know which way to look !!
I used Bird Lady's head By Roc Nicholas
Thanks for stopping by to look, Hugs Gay x

Sad day,

I am struggling to cope on any level today. To think that our world has come to this, madness and hate can fuel such destructive force. To the people caught up in the atrocity in Nice my heart goes out to you.
Why can't people just be kind? We all belong to the human race and need to look out for each other. Words escape me!

Black and white!

Hi Folks, Hope you've had a great week :D
I've been very busy  and have made an offering for Stampotique

This week at Stampotique Nellie van Leeuwin is our hostess and she is challenging us to "Black and White Only" here is what Nellie says about this challenge:

"I challenge you to use only black and white in your project this week"
I altered a giant wooden peg,

I had so much fun with this and absolutely loved the constraint of just Black and White especially on this substrate. All stamps from Stampotique,
I measured the stripes and coloured them with FB Castell Pitt pens, a recent purchase, niiice for drawing :D The circle background is a multi circle stencil, I got from Joggles and I can see it's going to be very handy.
Thank you for stopping by to see what I've been up to :D Hugs Gay xx

Butterflies, Flowers and all things garden.........................

Hi Everyone,
I have a card for Stampotique this week Jackie Payne is our hostess and she is taking us on a "Butterflies, Flowers and all things Garden" adventure
Here is what Jackie says about this challenge:
"Now that summer is almost here, it's time to spend some time in the garden and enjoy the nature and flowers. Let's see your best Butterfly, flowers and all things Garden projects"

Yes, well, it's flowers and butterflies and one has landed on Dog's head , snigger. Dog also has a very interesting coat, more sniggers. You see my problem is I don't have many small butterfly stamps so I have resorted to a rub on and some DP! For the line of the ground I have masked Jo Capper Sandon's floral stamp, repeating it 3 times.
I hope you haven't been washed away with all this rain, funny old weather here in the UK!
Thank you for stopping by :D Gay xx
Stamps I used;

Man up!

Hello there lovely peeps, Over at Stampotique this week
Carol Fox is our hostess and she is challenging us to a manly challenge. "Man Up" is her challenge theme and here is what Carol says about this one:
"Journal page, card or mixed media, all is ok as long as it has a male image on it"
I made a card

Taking a line for a walk again, I stamped Eric first and then drew the lines up to and around him, crossing them to give the impression of waves. My lines aren't very even but not bad with a gammy hand LOL. I wanted to say 'A birthday Wave' but couldn't find a stamp that would fit or bend to follow the lines.
Hoping the sun will make an appearance sometime soon, fed up with being chilly :)
Thanks for dropping by, the link for the stamp is his name :D Hugs Gay x

All creatures...................

Hi folks,
Today I have a card for Stampotique

"Wild and woolly or friendly and domesticated we love them all..make sure to include an animal or two on your creation this week."
So I have  two animals................

Simple and to the point, 'You can never have too much happy!!!!'
are my stamps and text is Tim Holtz Small talk stickers
Thank you for joining me I hope you have a great weekend :D Gay xx

BOO!!!

Hi everybody, Today I have taken up the Stampotique challenge,
It's time for a fun new challenge and this Week Coby is our hostess and she is challenging us to a "Boo" theme, Here is what Coby says about this challenge
"Say Boo to little children and they will laugh.... use the word Boo in your projects this week to let us laugh."
I have made two cards this week 'cos I can LOL My first will be my entry though,

This is Newton and I love him  :) Certainly use him a lot!
And this is inside my card, it is fun!! Like a bird's beak it opens and closes to reveal two little tinkers having a giggle and trying to spook Topher! I used double sided paper so that the inside would have contrast.

Closing the apperture by opening the card.

This next card was made first but I wasn't happy with it and then below the inside of this one
and opening up to close the apperture. I'm still not sure which one I prefer although I think I like the inside of this one and the front of the first, Hah!!
Thank you for joining me and having a look at my latest makes! I hope you're warmer than me because I'm sitting here shivering, the weekend should be better, fingers crossed :D Gay xx
